Sarah Chou
Sarah graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Speech Pathology) with Honours from the University of Sydney. She is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP) and a member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
She has experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Intellectual Disability, speech sound disorders, stuttering and literacy difficulties.
She has an interest in speech sound disorders, literacy and stuttering, having previously completed her Honours thesis on the literacy skills in children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). Sarah has also completed further training in the Hanen More Than Words Program.
Sarah is passionate about helping children maximise their communication to make meaningful connections with others in their early years. She enjoys individualising sessions for each child by incorporating their interests to make sessions fun and engaging. She believes that family-centred practice is key to supporting their day-to-day communication.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her friends, family and two dogs. She also enjoys reading and spending time outside.
