How do I access a Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist (OT)?
Our team of speech therapists Rhodes and Ryde provide Assessment and diagnosis of speech and language delay. We then work with parents to create meaningful goals which are targeted at our Speech Pathology Clinic Rhodes. You can access a Speech Pathologist Online and use your ECEI funding to support your child. This may be helpful if you are unable to attend face-to-face. At Child Speech Therapy & OT we have experienced speech therapists in Rhodes and Ryde and also Speech Therapy Telehealth. Our OT Rhodes and OT Ryde are clinic-based and we have a newly created sensory room developed by our Senior Occupational Therapist Rhodes. Occupational Therapy Rhodes (OT)
Did you know in January 2023 our clinic expanded our Occupational Therapy Rhodes Clinic sector by welcoming our Senior Occupational Therapist full time. Since then we have had much interest from Occupational Therapists to join our OT Rhodes team, however we ensure that only employ the most experienced and highly-trained clinicians to support you and your child. Our OT Rhodes Clinic is equipped with sensory swing, crash mats, foam rollers, peanut balls, Swiss balls, weighted blankets and weighted animals, sensory toys, wobble boards, scooter boards, sensory tiles and much more. And most importantly it is coordinated by Eden, our OT who has boundless energy and education about how to best move children to a state of relaxation and play, which is their ideal learning state. From here, a child is able to increase attention, feel safe and ready to take on information, develop new skills and strengthen skills that are currently developing. Eden also educates and up-skills our Speech Pathologists so that a child is receiving the same information and supports in all of their sessions. “When we know better we do better” ~ Oprah Winfrey. While our OT Ryde services ceased at the end of last year, our Occupational Therapy Rhodes has expanded to take on the needs of the local community with great outcomes and feedback. While there are Occupational Therapy jobs Sydney, there’s only multidisciplinary clinic which allows its therapists to pursue their passion by providing paid professional development, autonomy over resources made available and of course the freedom to share and educate the team so that together we can go further in supporting each and every child who comes to our clinic.
